this drama is very exciting! please shared this drama subtitle!
I love this drama very much! the story is very good. sometimes make me cry but sometimes make me shed tear.
thank you
from this drama i know, that we must work hard and do our best. so that we can be the winner!
There were two things that worked for “Baby-faced Beauty 동안미녀” namely, the male lead, Choi Jin-wook, and Daniel Choi who played him. I’d much rather have just one of the cast be the saving grace of the entire show than to have none at all (see “Partner 파트너”). It was such a delight to watch him in all his adorkableness. His energy on screen was infectious it was such a crying shame that it did not rub off on the heroine. He’s still far from being a Cha Tae-hyun but he definitely has the makings of one. His melodrama skills though passable are far from impressive but his role wasn’t built to be one anyway, so it’s totally fine. To his credit, it’s probably hard to do serious when you’re the sole heir of a pig’s feet resto empire. His character in the highly successful movie, “Cyrano Dating Agency”, failed to make a mark on me but with this drama, I think I’m going to start watching his work as long as he stays like his adorkable self.
I had some problem convincing myself that Lee Soo-young (Jang Na-ra) really could pass off as a 25 year old. Her petite figure was ideal for the role but the gauntness of her face and the hideous hair just doesn’t cut it for me. I did like Soo-young though as a character because she is very relatable in her risky persistence to live her dreams. She’s not exactly little miss perfect when she deliberately borrowed her younger sister’s identity to land a designer job. Thankfully, Daniel and Na-ra had chemistry, so their scenes together were quite watchable. Soo-young’s best moment for me was the heated argument with her mom who just found out she cheated her way to her job. She’s had mom issues early on having been taken for granted as the eldest child and losing her opportunity to study in a design academy because she worked for 14 years in a textile firm to support her family. She conveyed her frustration and disappointment so well in that particular scene.
Kim Min-seo is the extremely competitive Kang Yoon-seo who’s out to get Soo-young. I like that she’s not a straight-out evil character. I had respect for her as a designer (until episode 18) because she always aimed to beat Soo-young fair and square. But by the last two episodes she traded her professionalism with underhanded means to win. Though she uses that same dishonest tactic to win in the love department, I thought it was great that she had a vulnerability for which she’s willing to trade work success if he can have the man he loves.
Some of the other characters that I liked were Park Chul-min who played the quirky landlord who’s into Soo-young. I wished he and Daniel had more scenes together because that brief encounter was hilarious. Yoo Tae-woong, the oddball team leader who seem to be missing a few marbles, was quite funny too.
I don’t have much nice things to say about Ryu Jin’s Ji Seung-il. If anything, he was unfortunate to land a lukewarm role who doesn’t know what the hell he really wants. Too bad because he’s a good actor who could’ve played wacky sidekick to Daniel (see his surprisingly funny portrayal in “My Country Calls 국가가 부른다”).
So after 20 hours, I saw too much of design competitions that I somehow felt indifferent about who’s going to win and I just wanted the two leads to have their happy ending, so we could all move on.
