i liked it all the way. i like that it was different from the normal serials. it is believable. These things do happen in real life. There are people who get tough with perseverance after going thru the mills in life. What i like is characters that the story produced. u also get to see the weak and their mindsets. all believable characters in life…. i am happy with the story ending too. Worth my time watching it. Its my cup of tea… its ok. we can all agree to disagree…
At one point, I must admit that I was quite captivated with the drama. However, it felt quite lengthy and dragged on. After some time, the characters and what was happening became quite annoying.. it started to feel more unrealistic. Basically, it was bad event after bad event, and the way everything was connected was like whoa. And it only became more depressing as we realized those who loved each other couldn’t be together. I think it’s a good drama… but only maybe the first half, then it starts to get ridiculous. If you want something really sad, I would recommend this drama. But at one point (or more like through out the whole series), it’s one bad event after another, and it’s just too depressing which in my opinion is what makes it unrealistic. It became.. painful to watch. Especially since I felt it was dragged in for too long.
The beginning of this drama was really great, but it seems like each episode gets more unbearable to watch. I really wanted to like this drama since the leading males are actors I like, but i think this drama was just too over the top. To be honest I stopped watching this drama 3/4 of the way through
I knew how bad the ratings were for this series in the entirety of its airtime in South Korea. Maybe so bad that even the male lead had to take off his top in an episode which not surprisingly was the only episode to garner a double digit rating. But my self-imposed rule of keeping an open mind got the better of me and so, I watched it anyway. After watching these much “anticipated” scenes, I realized that they were unnecessary but who’s complaining?!? Even after being away from the boob tube for almost 3 years, Kwon Sang Woo remains to be in perfect “shape” as far as his body and acting skills are concerned. Proving why he is the 2nd highest paid Korean actor. Although, the entire series was not that bad, it was not that good either. It had the classic formula of a fully charged drama: forbidden love, terminal illness and an undying love triangle. I thought that the entire cast, from Kwon Sang Woo to his comical chauffeur, collectively did a pretty good job of avoiding monotony. Not until episode 16 onwards when the plot turns several notches too heavy than the usual tearjerker that you just wanted it to end. But the final episode was this series’ absolute worst. The entire point why Kang Yong Gi (Kwon Sang Woo) and Na In Jung (Lee Yo Won) could not be together was because Yong Gi’s half-sister could not forgive In Jung for having an affair with his husband, Lee Soo Hwan. (Note: She pursued the affair even after learning that So Hwan was a married man.) In the end, even though Yong Gi’s half-sister could not completely forgive In Jung, they opted to continue with their relationship. And so, the ending puts the “Bad” in “Bad Love”. If that was how it was going to be, the entire series should have ended in episode 15 before it became so twisted (like Yong Gi’s suicidal ex-girlfriend).
I still don’t understand WHY it turned out this way. Because honestly, it had such a good potential, it’s just plainly sad to have turned like this..
The first episode was doing great… well, until the last minutes of it.
I don’t understand WHY it had to be so sad, and pathetic and over melodramatic.
To say it is a realistic drama, would be a lie. Because it’s far too sad to be real. All the things that could go wrong, did. And all the things that couldn’t possibly go wrong, did too.
I must admit the acting was really good. And the chemistry is there. And it has some really nice lines. But, this is seriously all the good things I can say about it.
I don’t dare to recommend this drama to anyone. Definitely not to the very sensitive ones. But if you’re curious “How bad can it be?” then please, be my guest.
