It was good, only because I liked the actress.
It was good I guess in a way, but I just thought towards the end, they had nothing to write about, so they created a really dumb problem and dragged on the drama for 30 episodes. It was frustrating to try to finish it, i was just like “UUGGGH!!” but overall it was a cute draama :]
I love family dramas but I think this one dragged on more than it needed to (especially the last few episodes).
The main couple are good but the other characters can be incredibly frustrating but I suppose that’s a typical characteristic in kdramas
Another thing was the ‘English’ used – it was a good attempt but I have to admit it was a little awkward watching those parts, especially with her ‘American’ boyfriend. Gah.
I just watch the main couple….. I’m not patient to watch others, they are … . it’s the first time i see 2 families support their children in the beginning and then V….e….r….y ………………….. after THIS event (SE’s bio.mom). The end has been rush so it’s not good as I expected.
However, It ‘s still good to me (if U have loved 1 % of anything)
Let’s give it a try and u ‘ll love them(the main couple)
In my opinion, this seems like a low budget drama. Most of the scenes are taken in the same places. The music is nothing special. There are some characters that I can’t stand watching. I may sound like I’m complaining, but the best thing about this series is the relationship between Sang Eun and Yeo Jun. Their spats are so humorous and entertaining. There definitely is chemistry between the two. They keep the series alive with their acting and chemistry.
In modern society, people marry each other out of love and not due to arrange marriages. However the drama “Creating Destiny/Making Fate”, shows us that we sometimes follow our parent’s wishes thru arrange marriages because sometimes parent’s do have their best wishes for their child.
The main plot is of Han Sang Eun (played by Eugene) a Korean born who grows up in Austrailia and tends to forget simple Korean customs. When she brings an American boyfriend home, her father adamantly disagrees for their wishes to marry. Instead he strikes up a deal that she live in Korea for a year while dating Kim Yeo Jun, his best friend’s single son. On the other side, Yeo Jun is in no mood to marry and refuses to have any relationship with Sang Eun. With both parties disagreeable and the added mix of chemistry this drama is a slow paced family comedy, laughter, and love.
Creating Destiny is a fun and relaxing drama that balances family life and love. I would highly recommend this drama for anyone who tries to create their own destiny because only you can decide what you have in store for you.
Creating Destiny follows the generic “contract-relationship” genre that we see so often in K-dramas. ( a few were to name were full house, kim-sam soon, my girl…) I personally really enjoy this genre. It’s enjoyable to see the love/hate relationship, especially the transition between hate and love…because you KNOW it’s going to happen, it’s just the HOW that’s the fun part.
The leads have great chemistry ( in my opinion) and while usually i hate the second story line, I LOVE the love triangle that his unfortunate sister is trapped in.
The story does tend to get a little repetitive ( but the series is quite long so it’s expected). There are misunderstandings….usually caused by the ‘other girl’ who’s the usual witch. The ‘other guy’ is also playing the typical “too-nice-for-his-own-good” character.
Despite the fact that the story is no different from the average k-drama, it’s still rather enjoyable. I think i’m still watching due to the amazing chemistry between the leads (it’s rare for me to watch 19 episodes of a drama. I usually stop at 14 because i get bored).
This drama is okay. Eugene is gorgeous as always. I love watching her and the hero slowly fall in love. Unfortunately, I don’t care for the other things that are going on in the drama and I think that American guy that is her boyfriend from Boston is a horrible actor. Seriously Korean Dramas have to hire better acting white people. I also enjoy watching Eugene’s grandfather and father…they are good actors as well. I’m not sure why they are trying to drag this drama out as it could be an easily 16 episode drama and it would just be perfect but anyhow….love Eugene and will support her dramas always…
This drama for many people may not be on pair with Shinning Inheritance, but it has its own charm. As the drama progresses, I got more and more hook on it. Undoubtedly this drama has many flaws in script and acting but the chemistry between the two main casts makes up for it. The plot was uncomplicated and the flow is quite fast, it’s an easy drama to watch and there are several sweet moments, it likes comfort food to me.
Thank you for subbing this drama. I just started watching this. It’s very entertaining. Go With S2.
