I’m deseperatly looking for your subs of Shinya Shokudo but only find bad streaming version on mysoju or others. Is there a small chance to find somewhere something that could goes with the RAW’s from D-Addicts ? Thanks alot for your GREAT job

SO well done (fantastic cast), great story — and EXCELLENT JOB SUBTITING! Not an easy one I’m sure, with all the business speak, but you all did a great job.

You’re more likely to find it on livejournal, or alternatively you can check if these http://www.d-addicts.com/forum/torrents.php?search=hagetaka&type=&sub=View+all&sort= are still seeded enough.

The shows I mentioned…

- Summer of the Bureaucrats (TBS, I mistakenly listed it as an NHK show on the intro. Guess I was too shocked TBS produced something good). About a group of, well, bureaucrats partly responsible for Japan’s post-war economic growth. Really solid production, albeit a bit too right-leaning and flag-waving for an anarchist egghead like me. Was one of the many candidates for future subbing and I still haven’t entirely given up on subbing it, but it’s really interesting stuff, mostly well acted and with passable production values.
- Shinya Shokudo. VIA exclusive, about a late night diner and its quirky patrons. Slice of life + food porn, as I said. I tend to favor darker stuff like this or Gaiji, but it’s the most fun I had subbing a show in a long time.
- Inpei Shirei – financial drama from the writer of Kuitan. Weakest of the four I mentioned, but still pretty good.

I’ll be busy with K-dramas probably for the entire Summer, but we’ll come with some other J-dorama down the line, perhaps around Xmas.

Of the series you listed earlier at Gaiji Keisatsu, I only recognized Pandora. When you have time, can you expand on the others listed or mentioned there? I’m really tired of idol dramas and still want to learn more of the language and cultures of Japan, Taiwan, and Korea.
Is there a better site than D-Addicts to locate some of these? They do tend to lean on things interesting to younger viewers.

I know you’re busy, so don’t expect a quick response, and will understand if you’re unable to help. Thanks for your great work so far!
