It’s a heartbreaking love story between two siblings –their Korean father and Japanese mother remarried to each other and thus the two have become step siblings. In the drama, Lee Wan (이완) plays Yoon Suh (윤서) who as a child, shows great potential as an artist, but as he grows up he leaves home and joins the “Yakouzas” or becomes one of the 야쿠자 (i believe it was a notorious gang in Japan), but keeps his step sister deep in his heart.

Hana (하나), his japanese step sister, doomed to share the ill-fated love relationship with Lee Wan, will be played by Park Shin Hae (박신혜) who also acted in ‘Stairway to Heaven,’ ‘To be cute or to be crazy’ and etc.

Heaven’s Tree was written by Moon Hee Jung and Kim Nam Hee who also wrote Stairway to Heaven, through which Kwon Sang Woo became one of the Hanryu (한류) stars. It is set to air in February of 2006 after SBS’s ‘My Girl.’
and then the stuff written after that is about Lee Wan who’s working out to prepare for this drama and how he’s just finished filming a movie in Japan entitled ‘그때 나는 죽기로 했다’ (‘At that time I even died’ roughly translated). And how they think Lee Wan will become one of the hanryu stars as well… or something along those lines.
