Tv-series can’t get any better than this, because everything in Joseon X Files is top-notch.
Joseon X Files is basically the definition of “Quality”, every single aspect was masterfully handled, that’s why i’m not exaggerating when I say that this series should be shown to every single film students out there who wants to learn how to create true art. THAT’S how cinematography should look like,THAT’S how a screenplay should be written, THAT’S how genres should be combined, THAT’S how you create something unique, inventive and brilliant, without caring about simpletons who probably won’t be able to understand and to appreciate at it’s true value the work you create.
Just like Oldboy has many antifans and yet it’s considered by most of the critics one of the most awe-inspiring movies ever made, Joseon X Files is just as good, folks, I never thought I’d say something like this considering how good that movie is,and yet here we are.
If you have any idea about what makes the seventh art trully interesting, then go watch this series. Another thing: it has nothing to do with the american series, except the title which was intentionally used in order to attract the attention of the audience. X-Files is a good science fiction series ,whereas Joseon X Files is mind-blowing stuff, so even if you’re not a SF fan, you should still watch this, that’s how good it is, it will set your standards so high that you’ll rarely see something as good as this one again.

    10/10

I might be a little slow, but this mystery in a mystery… or is it mystery about a mystery… or maybe it’s just a plain mystery (confusing).

I found that I enjoy the inexplicable side stories that made up the drama more so than one that carried on episodes to episodes. The fact that there was a curious relationship that was gradually unfolding around the characters was something that ended up causing me the most annoyance, simply because it there seems to be an answer… and not at the same time. Of course, that could just be because I’m a little slow like I mentioned.

Each side story in this drama appeared to have no real ending or resolution, and that was perfectly fine with me. It would kind of be a moot point if you try to explain the unexplainable after all. Yet the subtle indication of a hidden secret between the character was potentially intriguing to bring consistency and cohesion to the drama beyond the side stories.

But yes, like I said already, that secret only became a bad selling point once you get to the end. You know that something was answered, but you’re not quite sure what. And even more depressing, you really couldn’t care either. They shouldn’t ruin their streak by giving a clear answer when they had no done so for any of the other mysteries. However, it does stale that part of the story in the end. It was as whimsical as it can possibly be.

It was hardly a riveting drama because it was so haphazard in its presentation. Still had a good enough time with this drama. I give it a 6.
