A show with great potential, but bad directing. Sudden shifts between night and day, as though sequences were cut from the scenes. Spontaneous ‘flight’ during combat scenes, and feats of balancing that would make a professional acrobat envious. The ‘checkov’s gun’ horse was another issue. The horse was anyplace and time the main character decided to whistle. But the most disappointing was the sudden shifts of scenes and scenes left open, as though the action sequences were not completed. In episode 2, in one scene, in the middle of an empty field, the main character kills an assassin that is about to kill a small boy, then he consoles the child regarding the death of his mother, then suddenly the scene shifts and he’s riding a horse on a beach — with no closure in the scene with the small boy. What happened to the child? Did he leave him there in the empty field? Did he take him to his grandmother’s house? Night and day shift in this show with no regard for cuts or scene sequence. I give it a one star because it’s obviously not the actors fault for the sloppy directing.

hmm, just finish watching this two days ago, it was a must watch in my ‘unwatch old drama’ list. this is the first time for me to watch any of eric’s work and it’s not a good start.

The cast is good, most of them are now pretty much at least B’ list actors actress Byul shi is now a fav, our stunning assassin Yoo ah in is pretty much the boy next door now, Goo hye sun also becomes korea’s princess so yeah I guess this is pretty old.

ok so back to my point, the casting is good, all of them did an ok job except for eric who seem really tired and dozed out, maybe its his way of acting and also most likely the director’s fault. The guy(director) must be on drugs, he used weird OST and BG music at the wrong time, his way of filming is nothing cool or stella. it seems like the budget was really low cause you pretty much can name all the places they travel and filmed in.

its also made into sections of different cases like csi, only more draggy and boring. I understand its a fusion drama but honestly the clothing department must be really high, he look like zorro minus the cool entry and fast horse.

if you love some of the cast do watch it, it’s still bearable, may require skimming
    5/10
