Thank You!
Loving this drama, thanks so much for the subs!!!
Thank you so much for subbing this. So many of these “profession-based” dramas from NHK never get subbed, so I greatly appreciate it.
As for WOWOW, I wish and hope we can find a good source again… I am SO missing their quality.
Otsukaresamadeshita! Thanks for subbing this!
Ach, you had me going there for a moment. Almost had me convinced that it was worth checking out. LMAO
Frankly, I was willing to give Fukada Kyoko a chance since she was fairly convincing as the ditzy wife in Second Virgin…the real reason why I wasn’t sold on Genya was Tsukamoto Takashi. I’ve seen him in Shoni Kyumei and Magerarenai Onna and he didn’t seem like someone who could carry a series. People can stare at his dimples all they want but the boy is just plain dull and horrible at acting.
Thanks again for working on Tetsu no Honne. I got the raws last year hoping that someone would eventually sub it. Now with the subs complete, I can start watching it.
Too bad about Kansohojin. If the actors were really that bad then I guess there’s no helping it.
Best of luck finding something worth subbing. I’ll be looking forward to your next pick.
….uh, scratch that. Last two episodes were ridiculous. But Tsukamoto Takashi gets the honor of being out-performed by Miss Fukada~! Now whether his abysmal acting is to blame or not…
Same reason I’m not doing Kansahojin, really. Smart show, nice script, fine production, but the two leads’ acting is so horrendous, you can’t take the drama seriously.
Might have to look for something older.
Curious thing is that her acting has always been phony and manufactured, but now that she plays a character whose every word is drenched in ambiguity and Machiavellian falsehood, it kind of works. And her expressions go beyond the usual “I’m trying very hard not to look at the camera even though I have to think and speak at the same time. Curse you, multitasking.”
Watched up to six and it looks more like a yes than a no, but I guess we’ll see. Not anytime soon though, as I have to finish other things and maybe pick up another Korean show in a few weeks.
Fukada Kyoko… ACTING! Kinda. — Ohoho, that’s the clincher. Now you got me all curious. But then again, it might be best not to get my hopes up… we’re talking about the perkiest gravure idol turned actress on Japanese television after all. Should be interesting though to see her in something dark for a change (and by that, I mean something other than a dark string bikini).
I’m not aware of anyone working on Genya, certainly haven’t seen any subs about. Higashino Keigo novel or not, my guess is that subbers took one look at the leads and decided to pass on it.
Thank you very much! I enjoyed watching this thru to 4 ep, now I am patiently waiting for the last one
Thank you and ganbare!!!!!!!
Thank you so much for this
To our… uhm… “regular suspects.” All three of you.
Is anyone subbing Genya? Still haven’t finished it so don’t get excited quite yet, but that could be a candidate for our next dorama later this spring. Fukada Kyoko… ACTING! Kinda. That alone is worth the price of admission. And it’s from a Higashino Keigo work, so dark as dark can be, filled with refreshingly realistic, misanthropic and Machiavellian characters, baroque humanism, et al…
And it’s WOWOW. WithOutWhichOnlyWorthless (dramas would be made).
Thanks for subbing Tetsu no hone! You guys always sub the good doramas!
Thanks! I thought this drama would never see the light of day! It’s nice to know someone picked it up! You guys rock!
Posted ep 1 revised version. Please be sure to re-download!! =)
Thank you very much <3
Thank you so much for the sub i was looking for it everywhere^^
Oh right!
Thank you (forgot to mention that)
Nice!
I have the RAWs and was hoping someone would sub this.
So happy!
Thanks Anarchist and WITHS2!
thank you!! I’ve been waiting for this.
Thanks a lot
*thank XD
YAY!~ Another J-Drama from X! Thanks you so much^^
Just wanted to say thanks to Anarchist and co. for picking up this project. For a while there I thought that this series would steadily gather dust in your “2TB oven”. I’m glad to see you found the time to work on this alongside subbing “Flames of Ambition”.
i really want the sub for this drama becoz i can only watch it in raw! thank you so much!!
