Fans of mysteries and suspense, this drama is for you.
Uhm Tae Woong as Detective Kang Oh Soo is smart and resourceful. He is a conflicted man who’s past keeps returning to haunt him as the investigation into two murders become more convoluted and complex. Joo Ji Hoon as Oh Seung Ha, an attorney is lukewarm to begin with and not entirely convincing until we learn of his entanglement with the murders. Both actors warm up to their roles and give good intense performances by series end.
Shin Min Na as supporting character Seo Hae In is the crystal ball relied upon to help solve these mysteries. Her performance is at best, ok. Her character is likable enough to want to see what happens on the next episode.
The main story arc starts with two murders. As the investigation gets deeper, we learn of Detective Kang Oh Soo’s dark past and how it relates to this seemingly innocent attorney, Oh Seung Ha who keeps getting hired by all the accused suspects. 20 episodes total, slightly too long but plot twists keeps you engaged and worth completing.
Mystery, suspense, thriller genre with PG-13 rating. Overall grade: B+
