I started watching this drama a few days ago coz of the three main leads and I thought it was kinda interesting at first until this young 18 yr old fell for his step brod which made me quite argghhhh…i agree with one of the comments that it wouldn’t be so much awkward if their age diff. is not so much but even then if you have started as siblings even if there’s no blood relation it would still be kinda unacceptable to me! This is similar to One Fine Day but at least their age diff. isn’t too much. If she fell for Yoon kye sung in this drama Triple it probab. would be better as YKS looks younger than his age! I like Lee jung jae so much from Il Mare but I really am disappointed he took this role coz of the storyline it just didn’t fit his image!

I was so excited when I saw that there was a drama about ice skating. But that excitement lasted for barely 3 episodes. This drama is boring and, in my opinion, doesn’t show enough of her actually practicing her skating and going for it. The love thing is also a little too strange for me…Not really the fact that they are step-siblings…but 17 years!? That’s pushing it. He could be her father. And what’s more, he LOOKED like her father. They could have at least picked someone who looked a little younger. Then it wouldn’t have seemed so…meh.

I was so utterly disappointed with this drama. I was really looking forward to it for the figure skating theme and for Lee Sun Gyun. It literally was torture to get through (I, unfortunately am one of those people who very rarely does not finish a drama no matter how terrible it is). It was probably the most boring drama I’ve wasted 16 hours on. It had so much potential….I cannot recommend this drama unless you’re looking for 16 hours of pure torture.

There’s a reason why dramas usually have over the top story lines and unbelievably stupid characters. They excite, move you to tears, laughter or rage.

Triple has none of the above. It is a drama about regular people whose trials and tribulations are of the normal variety. There’s no fatal illnesses or extremely evil villains. Conflict is within and among the characters. Thus it will bore the average drama viewer to death.

But this drama has its merits. There are no cringe-worthy dialogue (yup, no evil overlord monologue!), no stupid moments that make you want to strangle somebody. Acting is great overall. Triple introduced me to Lee Jung Jae, Yoon Kye Sang, Min Hyo Rin and Song Joong Ki.

However, I do wish the story had a little more to it. As another reviewer pointed out, the storyline does not merit 16 episodes. Hae Yoon and Sang Hee’s storyline is great, what do you do when one is ready to commit while the other isn’t. But theirs is a little detached from everyone else’s story. Poong Ho could have had a bigger part in the series. I was hoping to see a little more background story to Soo In.

Many others are also turned off by Shin Hwal and Lee Haru being step-siblings possibly having a relationship. And the age gap that is approximately 17 years. If this sends red flags to your brain, find something else to watch.

Overall, I will recommend this with a warning that this is not your conventional drama. It’s light and sweet, fun and relaxing to watch, but it’s not the BOF crazy fun/addictive variety

I think this drama tried to imitate Coffee Prince’s style but unfortunately fell and turn into a too meaningless drama. It wasn’t funny, the acting was so so, there is not love (ok there’s the love of the little sister to her step brother but it’s more of a puppy love), unrealistic and I don’t get what message the drama trying to deliver and believe me, I wasn’t being harsh. I don’t dislike this series, it was easy to watch but there is nothing to like. Okay, maybe Song Joong Ki?

Triple tells the story of Lee Haru, a young girl who after pausing some years starts ice skating again. Because of her potentially being a good figure skater she leaves her hometown to live and skate in Seoul. There she is going to live with her much older stepbrother Shin Hwal, with whom she doesn’t have much in common and his best buddies & roommates Hyun-Tae and Hae-Yoon.
This drama not only follows Haru in pursueing her skating dreams but shows also her relationship with her brother and the interactions of the other characters.

I gave this drama a 7 because I actually really liked it. The first few episode were absolutely great but somewhere along the way it got lost. And this wasn’t the fault of the actors, who were – in my opinion – superb. The problems were in the story and the length of this drama. Even though 16 Episode isn’t actually that long but Triple would have been a lot better if it were shorter. The story itself was refreshingly realistic but that is also the main problem, it is so realistic that it tends to be a wee bit boring, mainly because it shows real life. The directing and the music were beautiful, funny and light.
The actors were really great, especially Min Hyo-Rin, who acted pretty well for being a newbie.

Still I really did like this drama and I recommend it not only to those who don’t get bored with seeing “real life themes” :-) !
